Esdail Lenox Barnes

Esdail Lenox Barnes Esdail Lenox Barnes trained for the ministry at the London College of Divinity, an evangelical college in Highbury. The qualification which he gained in 1940, A.L.C.D., suggests that he did not go to university.

Ordained by the Bishop of Bath and Wells in 1940, he came to Street as Curate until 1943, when he became Rector of Priston, a village near Bath with a population of around 200.

His name must have become known in evangelical circles in the Bath area, because his next move was to a completely different kind of parish, St Matthias, Upper Tulse Hill in London, where he served from 1945 to 1952.

Priest in charge, Maidenhead 1952

Vicar of Uralla 1961

In Australia from 1965
