Charities we support
What is provided for children and young people
by the Mission and Parish church in Street?
At the Mission Church (on Vestry road, near Tesco) we run groups for all ages. On the first, third and fourth Sundays of the month, groups meet during the 10:30am morning service:
- Little Angels for pre-
schoolers and babies - Sparklers for children in school years reception through to year 2
- All Stars for children aged 6 to 9 (we move the children up when they are ready)
- Explorers for children up to 11 years old
- Pathfinders for young people of Secondary school age.
On the second Sunday of each month, there is a Family Service at 10:30am which is aimed at all ages and in which the children and young people are encouraged to take part. We are used to children making a noise and moving around and try to build in opportunities for them to do both of these within the service.
At the Parish Church (opposite Strode College) we have the Sunrise service for younger children on the first Sunday of each month (except August) at 9:30am. The service is very interactive, is aimed at the under 7s, with plenty of space to move around and lasts half an hour. Refreshments are served at 10am.
Also at 9:30am on the first Sunday of the month, we run a Breakfast Club for the older children and young people. This is held in the kitchen at the Mission Church.
