Biblegateway  (January 2010)

The site I have chosen for this month is the Biblegateway site.  This is a site which David Parsons set up links to in several places on the previous version of the Street and Walton website.

 

Biblegateway has been providing great bible resources on the internet since 1993.  The site (www.biblegateway.com) has several very useful features.  For example it includes:

• Full text of the bible in many versions with footnotes
• An excellent bible search facility - and you can search in the version of your choice
• A verse of the day
• Bible reading plans
• Audio versions of many sections of the bible
• New viewing and search facilities that you can access on your mobile phone, blackberry etc

This site is a great resource - particularly the bible search facilities.  And over the next month I will add to our website some of the features which David previously had links to - i.e. a bible verse of the day and a bible search facility which can be called from our site.
