Godtube  (January 2011)

The website I have chosen this month is GodTube (web address www.godtube.com).  GodTube is a Christian-based, family-friendly version of YouTube and enables the sharing of video clips based around Christian music or ideas.

GodTube was unavailable on the Internet for a while (it briefly was around under the “Tangle” name), but is now back in action under new management.  The site is now owned by an American Christian broadcasting company which does mean there is a bias towards American material on the site.

As with YouTube there is a complete mish-mash of different types of video, from Church nativity plays to videos by Christian pop groups - with search facilities to help you find what you’re looking for.  It is particularly useful for investigating Christian music acts which you might be interested in.
