Sightsavers  (June 2010)

The website I have chosen for this month is the website for the Sightsavers charity (address www.sightsavers.co.uk).  Sightsavers is a fantastic charity which I know a lot of members of our churches have supported over the years.  Sightsavers purpose is to combat blindness  and restore sight in developing countries, and to provide support to those who are irreversibly blind.

In recent years charities have been more reluctant to send out a lot of paper leaflets etc through the post, so a website is a good way of keeping in touch with a charity you support.

The features I like most on the website are the Kidzone (which is a completely kids-orientated site with articles on the charity and on eyesight in general), and also the link to the Sightsavers YouTube site with video articles on the charity.
