On this Website of the Month page I will be featuring a different website each month which I hope will be of interest to people in the parish. For the first in the series, I have chosen the website for Traidcraft, www.traidcraft.co.uk .
Traidcraft is a fantastic charity and this is an interesting website, giving details of their products and some of the work they do with farmers. There are also a description of the Christian roots from which the charity grew.
But there are two other reasons why I picked the Traidcraft site. Firstly it will be of particular interest to all those of us who have enjoyed products from the Traidcraft stall run by Edward Beaty at the Mission Church, as shown in the photos. (Edward’s stall sells Traidcraft chocolate, coffee, tea, rice, pasta and other products). Secondly, there is a very good document on the site (see the box below) with thoughts and prayers for the Advent season, which are also tied in to the work the charity is doing. It is a beautifully written reminder of what Advent is all about.
